Overall rating: 4.4 I’ve heard they have grape flavor but they didn’t have any when I was there. It was good, it was expensive. Can’t say the staff was that nice when I was deciding what to get but I went around 8pm so I think they were just counting down their shift. I don’t even remember what I got, good flavors

they got mad flavors, so the cream flavors are cool, but the sorbets are all pretty damn sweet, and they have good flavors but it def ruins it bc it’s too sweet. also all the ice cream itself is kinda soft like too melty already (at least when i went) [that is NOT a good thing], however price point for a bougie ice cream spot wasn’t bad, small size was 2 scoops for around $7, staff was nice too!

il laboratorio del gelato on the Lower East Side is in a class of its own. I have been coming here many times over the years and it never disappoints. Founded in 2002 with a singular focus on making the world's best gelato, this place has earned that claim. The rotating display of 48 flavors drawn from a catalog of over 200 is extraordinary -- banana chocolate chip, black sesame, honey lavender, olive oil, guinness, tarragon, mascarpone, mexican cinnamon, kaffir lime, and a full sorbet selection that rivals the gelato itself. Every flavor you try is made with real ingredients and genuine craft, and you can watch the production through the open kitchen windows which is a nice touch. The espresso bar adds another layer to the experience. The space is clean, understated, and focused entirely on the product -- no distractions, no gimmicks. Staff are knowledgeable and the overall atmosphere is calm and pleasant. One small note: they recently moved to a two-taste limit per customer, which is understandable but worth knowing before you visit. It does not change the quality of what is in the cup. Highly recommended to anyone who takes their gelato seriously.

Definitely one of the best ice cream places in New York! We visited based on a recommendation from our tour guide, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The shop offers an impressive variety of flavors, so there is something for everyone, whether you prefer classic favorites or more unique creations. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It was difficult to choose because everything looked so good. The staff was friendly and patient while we made our decision, and the service was quick despite the place being quite busy. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was easy to see why both locals and tourists enjoy stopping here. If you're exploring New York and looking for a great dessert spot, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We would definitely come back to try even more flavors on our next trip. Highly recommended!

Great sorbet and gelato shop right on Houston Street across the street from Katz's Deli. Lots of delicious sorbet and gelato flavors to choose from No tables and very limited bench seating inside. This is more of a grab and go shop. Staff was very friendly, patient and efficient. It was nice to see the mostly-glass environment, giving customers a look into the staff working in the back.
